QI SHADES — TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE & INSTALLATION

1. Quotes & Orders

Validity: Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified in writing.
Custom Fabrication: All QiShades products (including custom curtains, blinds, shutters, and awnings) are custom-made to measure to your exact specifications.
Order Acceptance: Orders are confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit and signed acceptance of the quote/specification sheet. Once fabrication commences, orders cannot be cancelled or altered without incurring material and labor charges.

Deposit: A 50% deposit is required upon order placement before manufacturing or fabric ordering begins.
Balance Due: The remaining balance is payable prior to or on the day of installation unless prior written credit terms have been agreed upon.
Title to Goods: All goods remain the property of QI Shades until full payment has been cleared.

Site Preparation: The client is responsible for ensuring the installation site is clear, accessible, and free of hazards prior to the installer’s arrival. Any removal of existing window treatments must be arranged prior to installation day.
Structural Integrity: QI Shades is not responsible for hidden structural deficiencies, unsound plaster, or concealed electrical/plumbing lines in walls or ceilings where fixings are required, unless clear structural drawings were provided prior.
Electrical Work: For motorised products, standard installations include connection to existing wiring or battery operation as quoted. Hardwiring to mains power must be completed by a licensed electrician at the client’s expense unless explicitly included in the scope of work.

Natural Variations: Fabric batches, timber grains, and outdoor mesh materials may exhibit subtle variations in tone, weave, or texture compared to showroom samples or swatches. These are natural characteristics of the materials and not considered defects.
Drape & Creasing: Sheer and heavy fabrics may develop natural relaxing creases or slight drop variations over time due to humidity, room temperature, and fabric weight.

Estimated lead times are provided in good faith based on supplier availability and fabrication schedules. While every effort is made to meet estimated completion dates, QI Shades is not liable for delays caused by third-party freight, international shipping delays, or raw material shortages beyond our reasonable control.

Product Warranty: QI Shades products come with manufacturer warranties (ranging from 1 to 5+ years depending on the specific product line, motorisation components, or fabric selected).
Workmanship Warranty: Installation workmanship carried out by QI Shades is covered by a 12-month installation warranty from the date of completion.
Exclusions: Warranties do not cover damage resulting from normal wear and tear, misuse, exposure to extreme weather/winds (for unretracted awnings), improper cleaning, or unauthorized modifications.

All corded window treatments supplied and installed by QI Shades strictly comply with Australian Consumer Law and Australian Child Safety Regulations (Competition and Consumer Regulations 2010).
